JOB TITLE: Outreach Therapist

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time, 40 hours/week

SCHEDULED HOURS: Monday - Friday 9AM-8PM (Flexible schedule; some evenings required)

PROGRAM/LOCATION: HYPE Recovery, Manchester, CT

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: HYPE Recovery

Provides intensive in home family therapy clinical treatment to children age 9 to 18.5 who have substance abuse issues. The model strengthens the parenting role in families and improves communication between parent and child. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides assessment and treatment interventions consistent with fidelity to evidence based model;
  • Performs home, community and office based care;
  • Documents ongoing client progress and outcomes;
  • Demonstrates competency in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each
    population served;
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with family members and other service providers;
  • Provides crisis assessment and intervention to monitor status of clients in crisis;
  • Works with clients to develop appropriate discharge plans utilizing natural supports;
  • Responsible for maintaining client and staff records according to agency policy;
  • Provides Coverage for team members during periods of absence;
  • Participates in weekly supervision, consultations and meetings to review client and program
    progress;
  • Transports clients, when necessary using agency vehicles and/or personal vehicle;
  • Participates in all required MDFT trainings and obtains MDFT Therapist certification.
  • Additional duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master’s Degree or higher in mental health field

Experience: Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience as a psychotherapist working with people with mental illness and/or serious emotional disorders. Demonstrated training and experience in all aspects of mental health treatment, assessment, evaluation and provision of individual, group and family therapy. Relevant experience to program model to which individual is assigned. For identified positions, bilingual capacity may be required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: LMSW, LPCA, LMFTA required; LCSW, LMFT, LPC, eligible.

COMPENSATION*:

$60,496/annually minimum- $90,743/annually maximum, dependent upon experience.

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience and internal equity, as well as, adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
