Responsibilities

  • Submit or coordinate the submission of all grants and grant amendments.
  • Assure the entire grant planning process is coordinated with the Directors of School Finance and Director of State and Federal Programs.
  • Works collaboratively to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure staff compliance with grant requirements, including certification and documentation.
  • Ensure Policies and Procedures are up to date with current legislation.
  • Submit or coordinate the timely and accurate submission of all grants and grant amendments.
  • Supports finance directors with grant tracking.
  • Ensure all materials and technology bought with grants funds are in the asset management system.
  • Work with the Chief of School Finance and Operations Officer to review new grants and initiate the grant process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required;
  • Computer literate
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adept at establishing and maintaining good rapport and working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Highly organized; ability to meet stringent deadlines, prioritize work, operate in a fast-paced work environment, and coordinate projects; good time management.
  • Ability to independently use various forms of electronic communications (email, web, text, etc.); technologically independent, with effective use of Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driver's License or ability to provide transportation to school locations or meetings.

Work is performed in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles established by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, federal and state regulatory agencies, and other statutory requirements pertaining to public school academies in Michigan.
