- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions or breakdowns and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Work independently without supervision and take responsibility for assigned equipment and building and equipment failures.
- Follow and comply with all safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment, machinery, and systems.
- Understanding and working safely with performing lockout tagout, machine guarding on equipment during repair and maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, identify issues, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address urgent repairs as needed.
- Implement, research and make suggestions for new equipment, participate in the installation and setup of new equipment or systems.
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support as required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with vendors and suppliers and build a cohesive relationship to achieve the success of running equipment and partnerships.
- Responsible for ensuring the food production equipment/ rooms are always functioning, provide building maintenance, work with safety initiatives, and to take initiative to resolve or contact the appropriate vendors.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Forklift, scissor lift experience is a plus
- Utilize powered and non-powered equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations a plus
- Safety conscious mindset
- Food equipment maintenance a plus, conveyors, motors, regular machine maintenance
- Knowledge of HACCP and GMP’s for food industry (preferred)
- Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Cheerful Outlook
- Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook,
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Effective and good communication and people skills are required
- Good record keeping and follow up
