Choctaw Nation is Hiring a Groundskeeper Near Pocola, OK
Full-Time Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM Pay Rate : $15.95 hourly
Job Purpose or Objective(s) : You will maintain the appearance of the grounds of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma properties.
You will report to the Landscaping Supervisor
Primary Tasks :
- You will operate different types of lawn equipment such as : lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, edgers, blowers.
- Pick up trash and other routine tasks to maintain the grounds.
- Care for established lawns and landscaping by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, and planting.
- You will use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge trimmers.
- Tree, hedge, and shrub care that includes using shears, pruners, or chainsaws.
- Occasional manual removal of snow and ice from walkways, drives.
- Keep work areas clear of clutter and debris.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid State Issued Driver's License
- Read and follow written or oral directions for tasks.
- Understand government public health regulations.
- Understand safety standards related to performance of the job.
- Stoop, bending, kneeling, and reaching daily and carrying up to 50 lbs.
