Job title: Warehouse Specialist - Lodi, WI Facility

Reports to: Director of Warehousing and Logistics

Job purpose

For over 60 years Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream has crafted and distributed exceptional ice cream. The manufacturing facility produces more than 100 super-premium, award-winning ice cream flavors, and supplies more than 700 independent restaurants and scoop shoppes nationwide.

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Warehouse Specialist to join our team at our Lodi, Wisconsin facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks including picking orders, order fulfillment, loading semi trucks, restocking, driving a forklift, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role requires flexibility to work in both a warehouse and freezer environment.

Duties and responsibilities

• Pick orders accurately and efficiently according to picking lists and scanners.
• Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
• Accurately and effectively load semi trucks with ice cream using forklift and pallet jacks.
• Restock inventory areas as needed to maintain adequate levels of stock.
• Work in the warehouse and storage freezer daily, using freezer gear provided by the company.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and freezer areas.
• Assist in inventory counts and audits as required.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to communicate product outages and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Learn and comply with guidelines while using picking and inventory technology.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Assist in other areas/departments of the plant as needed.
• Other tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Punctual, predictable, and reliable attendance
• Ability to drive a forklift is desirable
• Computer and technology skills are desirable
• Must have reliable transportation to our Lodi, WI facility
• Cooperative and able to take direction
• Must be customer service driven
• Good teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Valid driver license preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to constantly position self to effectively load semi trucks.
• Must be able to constantly move ice cream or supplies weighing up to 60lbs chest high.
• Must be comfortable working in the heat or cold that a warehouse experiences based on the environmental season 100% of shift.
• Must be able to constantly work in a freezer environment.
• Must be able to ascend/descend a staircase to stock products.
• Must be able to move about inside the freezer and warehouse.
• Must be able to detect fire, trip, or other safety hazards.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Hours and Schedule

• This is a full-time, permanent position
• Days and shifts of work are Monday through Friday, est. 40-50 hours per week
• Opportunity for overtime during the busy season
• Overtime paid daily (for >8 hours) and weekly (for >40 hours)
