CHM Industries, Inc. is Hiring a 2nd Shift Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Near Fort Worth, TX

Job Overview:

The Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) is responsible for preforming inspections of our steel monopole structures for conformance to CHM, customer and industry standards. The CWI will work within an established Quality Control Department.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure assigned product meets or exceeds internal, industry and customer standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with customer and 3rd party inspectors in the inspection process.
  • Work with production in a collaborative fashion to identify repeat defects and assist in training or coaching of welding staff to decrease rejection rate and improve overall quality.
  • Perform necessary documentation of inspection efforts and work with document control to ensure the inspection is fully and properly documented.
  • Perform various inspections to ensure product conformity including visual, MT and UT where certified.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (Preferred)

Other Qualifications:

· Experience inspecting steel monopoles or other Bridge type structures is a plus.

· Familiarity and experience with inspections to customer standards and specifications.

· Ability to read, understand and interpret fabrication standards.

· Understanding of AWS D1.1

· Must be highly competent in reading manufacturing prints.
