CHLOETA is Hiring a Planning Manager Near Washington, DC

Job Summary

The Planning Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining incident action plans, coordinating resource planning, conducting situation analysis, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure effective incident planning and response. The Planning Manager will join Chloeta’s Incident Management team.

Duty Station: Washington D.C.

Compensation:

Chloeta reserves the right to offer any candidate above or below the listed compensation amount based on experience or business needs.

  • $110,000 per year
  • Non-Exempt

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains incident action plans (IAPs) for various incident types and scenarios
  • Coordinates the planning and allocation of resources for incident response and management.
  • Conducts situation assessments and analysis to support decision-making during incidents.
  • Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective incident planning and response.
  • Develops and conducts training and exercises to prepare personnel for incident response roles.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of incident planning activities and prepares reports as needed.
  • Ensures that incident planning activities meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Identifies and mitigates risks related to incident planning and response.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Deep understanding of incident management principles, including incident command systems (ICS) and the incident planning process
  • Experience in emergency planning or a related field, with a strong understanding of incident action planning and resource management.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and manage projects, including resource allocation, timeline management, and risk assessment.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess situations, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and concepts.
  • Familiarity with incident management software, data analysis tools, and other relevant technologies

Education and Experience

  • Required: Master’s degree in business management, business administration, accounting, finance, economics or related field and a minimum of three (3) years professional experience as a planning chief of lead for a human service or emergency management agency OR
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four (4) years of professional experience
  • Required: Experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of incident response plans in response to real-world incidents, development of agency-wide incident management frameworks, development of courses of action and analysis
  • Required: demonstrated advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Required: Experienced in data analysis and data visualization
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner certification
  • Preferred: Completion of FEMA’s Planning Practitioner Program

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.

Pre-employment Requirements

Due to the nature of Chloeta’s services, this position is contingent upon completing with a satisfactory outcome some or all of the following pre-employment background screenings: government security clearance, federal and state criminal background checks, drug test (urinalysis), Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, educational history, employment history, and/or credit check. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), pre-employment background screenings will require the employee’s written authorization and will occur after acceptance of an offer of employment and prior to commencing work. Additionally, employees are required to complete the federal I-9/E-Verify process.
