Job Description:


Job Summary:

Chloeta is seeking two Registered Nurses (RN) experienced in Medical-Surgical to provide services at a medical facility in Shiprock, NM.

Job Classification: Full-Time Contract

Supervisory Responsibilities: None but may serve as a mentor.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate care to patients in various settings to enhance their qualify of life based on specialty.
  • Assesses, determines and evaluates appropriate type of physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural care needed from newborn to adult age.
  • Incumbent evaluates the nursing needs of patients, develops an individualized nursing plan of care, implements plan and reviews and revises as needed.
  • Follows federal licensing, accreditation and regulating body standards from bodies such as: The Joint Commission, CMS, DHHS, PHS, local, and any other agency that the facility is accountable to.
  • Delegates duties to appropriate personnel by teaching and monitoring their work as needed.
  • Identifies and interprets emergent situations based on clinical assessment and determines appropriate action immediately. For example, initiates a Rapid Response Team (RRT); informs the physician.
  • Identifies and interprets comprehensive cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias and is aware of treatments and medications.
  • Administers therapeutic measures as prescribed by physician to include but not limited to medication administration, intravenous fluids and blood transfusions treatments and maintains those measures taken on an ongoing nature.
  • Comes to work with a positive attitude and provides feedback in a professional manner.
  • Will participate in Incident command events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of experience is required with one year being in the med/surgical setting.
  • Required: All RNs must possess an associate’s (or a higher level of education) degree in nursing through an accredited program in the U.S.A.
  • Required: Possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in any state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, throughout the term of this contract. License verification must be provided at the time of application.
  • Required: Maintain valid and current certification and provide proof at the time of application in the following:
    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS),
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
    • Other certifications as required by specialty.
  • Required: Possess and maintain a valid ID or license from any state.
  • Required: Provide three (3) professional references at the time of application.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to withstand physical and emotional stress.
  • Must be able to stand and move for long periods of time.
  • Able to frequently lift at least 50 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • At the time of hire, must provide a fitness for duty certificate issued by a licensed physician to perform the proposed job without significant risk to personal health or the health and safety of others.
  • At the time of hire, must provide documentation of evidence of immunizations as required by the facility's immunization policy.

Pre-employment Requirements:

This position may be contingent upon passing a security clearance, criminal background check (state and federal), drug screen, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, education verification, employment verification, and/or credit check after acceptance of an offer and prior to beginning work, due to the nature of the services Chloeta provides and the responsibilities of this position.

Drug and Alcohol Testing:

To enforce Chloeta’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, an employee or candidate could be subject to undergoing a drug screen and/or alcohol testing at the beginning of employment, as well as after commencement of employment where there is reasonable suspicion of intoxication, or following an automobile or other accident, or as part of a company or facility-wide random drug screen process.

Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):

Under the FCRA, Chloeta may request a credit check during the onboarding process. A written authorization form will be required before obtaining credit records.

Emergency Response:

Every Chloeta employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official Duty Station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official Position Description (PD). Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
