Job Description:


Job Summary

The Project Manager, Emergency Manager oversees multiple projects simultaneously in the areas of training, exercises, consulting, and response for a variety of governmental clients on a nationwide basis.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees an interdisciplinary team of personnel in a matrix management environment to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications while remaining in compliance with regulatory requirements and within budget.
  • Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, time constraints and budget considerations.

Job Classification: Full Time

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Project Manager may be the single point of contact for the client on assigned projects and shall be responsible for the management and execution of the deliverables in accordance with the approved performance work statement, approved work plans, and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Project Manager shall maintain close communication and coordination with clients for the duration of the project, including weekly and/or monthly progress and detailed cost reporting.
  • Oversee the contract performance to include cost, schedule and technical quality
  • When required, serve as technical expert in ICS, NIMS, IMT/AHIMT and/or HSEEP related matters
  • This position will be assigned to the Chloeta IMT.

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred: hold a valid Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • Must have a college degree (Bachelor’s or above) in a related field.
  • Must have at least three (3) years of experience in Project Management
  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience in Emergency Management

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Requires a valid driver's license

Pre-employment Requirements:

This position may be contingent upon passing a security clearance, criminal background check (state and federal), drug screen, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, education verification, employment verification, and/or credit check after acceptance of an offer and prior to beginning work, due to the nature of the services Chloeta provides and the responsibilities of this position.

Drug and Alcohol Testing:

To enforce Chloeta’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, an employee or candidate could be subject to undergoing a drug screen and/or alcohol testing at the beginning of employment, as well as after commencement of employment where there is reasonable suspicion of intoxication, or following an automobile or other accident, or as part of a company or facility-wide random drug screen process.

Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):

Under the FCRA, Chloeta may request a credit check during the onboarding process. A written authorization form will be required before obtaining credit records.

Emergency Response:

Every Chloeta employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official Duty Station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official Position Description (PD). Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
