CHITIMACHA TRIBE OF LOUISIANA

TITLE OF POSITION: POLICE OFFICER

DEPARTMENT: CHITIMACHA POLICE DEPARTMENT

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of law enforcement duties associated with ensuring the safety and security of the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana. As required, provides law enforcement services to surrounding jurisdictions. EDUCATION AND/OR

EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED AND one (1) year of relevant law enforcement patrol, investigation, or other closely related law enforcement experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess, at time of application, and maintain P.O.S.T certification AND a State of Louisiana driver’s license throughout the course of employment.
  • Must live within a 35-mile radius of the Chitimacha Reservation or willing to relocate.
  • Background investigation will be required.
  • Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • Subject to pre-employment and annual physical.
  • Willing to obtain CPR certification and maintenance thereof throughout the course of employment.

Pay: $17.66 - $24.72 per hour
