Senior Scientist
Chippewa Government Solutions (CGS), a Sault Tribe Inc. (STI) Federal company, is hiring an experienced Scientist Senior to support the Influenza Division of the Center for Disease Control, in Atlanta, Georgia. The incumbent will understand and conduct research and public health evaluation activities to develop and assess new diagnostic methods and improve existing diagnostic methods to allow for more rapid response to potential influenza and other pathogen outbreaks and the development and improvement of vaccines. Reports to the Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory/Management Authority:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education & Experience:
Master’s degree in molecular biology, microbiology, or related biological science, or recent PhD Postdoc experience. Laboratory experience preferred.

Work Environment:
Work will be performed in a climate-controlled laboratory environment on a secure government facility.
