DescriptionPosition SummaryResponsible for supervision and the completion of cleaning the dishes, kitchen areas, food preparation equipment and utensils of all aspects of stewarding at Chinook Winds Casino Resort.
Essential Functions

Multitask- Ability to complete multiple tasks at one time.
Communication Skills- Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing.
Management Skills - Ability to organize and direct oneself and effectively supervise others.
Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
EducationHigh School Diploma or GED.
ExperienceOne year of experience as a Dish Machine Operator.
Computer SkillsOne year of supervisor experience required.
Microsoft Office intermediate level including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Certificates & LicensesMust obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
Must have a Food Handlers Permit before the start date.
Other RequirementsKnowledge of regulations governing food preparation, safety, and service preferred.

Work EnvironmentWork will take place in a busy kitchen supporting multiple restaurants and convention centers with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated affects.
Working ConditionsConditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
Essential Functions
- Supervises the stewarding crew to ensure completion of assigned tasks in a timely and responsible manner.
- Stocks supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, hot and cold buffets, and refrigerators.
- Operates washing equipment including dish machines, pot washer and presoak tank.
- Washes dishes, pots, cookware, utensils, and other equipment.
- Places clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
- Sorts and removes trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
- Cleans garbage cans with water or steam.
- Assists in the implementation of training to all F&B staff as required.
- Monitors staff performance to ensure Chinook Winds customer service standards are achieved.
- Provide input or recommendations for improvements and/or changes in processes or services.
- Manages employees during the shift and ensures appropriate professional standards of behavior, work standards, productivity, practices, and customer care are enforced.
- Maintains effective communication within the team and attends meetings and training sessions when required.
- Ensures that F&B operations are in compliance with Chinook Winds policies and procedures.
- Assigns duties, responsibilities, and workstations to employees in accordance with work requirements.
- Performs personnel actions such as hiring and firing staff, consulting with other managers as necessary.
- Recommends measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safety.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of goals, objectives, programs, promotions, budgets, policies, and procedures.
- Develops and maintains a teamwork environment.
- Completes, monitors, and develops staff through evaluation and development plans.
- Trains employees in designated areas and monitors progress.
- Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in program processes or services.
- Identifies & reports any irregular, unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
- Handles all personnel issues in a timely manner according to Chinook Winds policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
