Responsibilities and Duties:

Traffic Signal Installers, ITS Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of electronic traffic control devices. Work involves assembling, installing, servicing, testing, repairing, and adjusting electrical and mechanical components of traffic signal and related equipment. Other duties include but not limited to

• Installing and maintain pole lines and overhead traffic signs.
• Understanding oral and written instructions that may be accompanied by detailed plans.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with codes.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clean driving record, Class A CDL preferred.

Education and Experience:

• ISMA Florida Certification (Preferred).
• Two years of electrical field experience (Preferred).
• Two (2) years of concrete experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Prolonged periods of standing/walking.
