Chinatown Community Development Center is Hiring a Director of IT Near San Francisco, CA

Job Summary:The Director of Information Technology (IT) has overall responsibility of the organization’s IT operations and functions. This role provides comprehensive oversight for IT operations, cloud environment, network, service desk, telecommunications, and cybersecurity. This position ensures business continuity and delivery of a scalable, high performing, and highly reliable IT infrastructure meeting the organization’s business needs and objectives. The Director will maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends in technology, actively staying informed of IT best practices, application solutions and services, striving to incorporate innovation in a practical and cost-effective manner.
Status: Full-time, exempt, Regular
Location: Chinatown neighborhood, San Francisco
Hours: Onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Salary: $141,300 -$157,000; Comprehensive benefits
The Organization:A private non-profit founded in 1977, Chinatown Community Development Center believes in a comprehensive vision of community. We own and/or manage approximately 36 affordable housing buildings serving over 4,500 low-income seniors, single adults, formerly homeless adults, and families of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds in San Francisco’s Chinatown, Tenderloin, Western Addition, and Polk Gulch neighborhoods. We also build housing, develop grassroots leadership, and engage low-income residents and youth. Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies and procedures across all of Chinatown CDC’s office and site locations in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Manage and oversee all IT functions, including infrastructure, hardware, software, applications, and data management
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing IT systems and solutions to enhance business operations and improve efficiency
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data and IT infrastructure through the development and implementation of robust cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to staff, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the timely resolution of IT-related problems
  • Develop and manage the IT department budget and ensure the efficient and effective use of IT resources
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and staff to identify technology needs and opportunities that can enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects, services and equipment
  • Recruit, train, and develop IT staff to maintain a high level of technical competence and ensure the team's success
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT management and governance
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Identify opportunities for technology-driven innovation and create roadmaps to drive digital transformation
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or relevant field
  • Five (5) years of experience in developing, supporting, and supervising staff
  • 10 years of experience administering firewalls, DNS, SSL Certificates, SD-WAN, and related network technologies required
  • 10 years of experience implementing and managing an IT Help Desk System
  • Knowledge of administering and managing Network Security Solutions such as Proofpoint, Netskope, Thousand Eyes, F5, SSLO, Gigamon
  • Knowledge of managing, implementing and supporting Microsoft 365 infrastructure which includes Azure, Office 365, Entra, Exchange, Compliance, Security, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Medium-to-advanced knowledge of infrastructure solutions which includes Endpoint Protection, Email Protection, Content Filtering, SSO, MDM, BYOD, DLP, IAM, and VPN
  • Knowledge of implementing, managing and supporting Meraki infrastructure which includes WiFi APs, Switches, and Firewall
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience in relevant fields
