A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN APPRENTICE CHIMNEY SWEEP / ENTRY-LEVEL MASONRY WORKER

As an Apprentice Chimney Sweep / Entry-Level Masonry Worker, you assist our skilled technicians while gaining valuable construction skills and learning a new trade. Each day you arrive punctually, ready to participate in our morning meeting. As you sip a fresh cup of coffee, you listen carefully as jobs are assigned. You're eager to get to work, and you quickly load a company truck with the required materials. You double-check to ensure all the tools and equipment are in good working condition. As a safety-oriented employee, you're often entrusted with driving the truck to the job site.

Once you arrive at the work site, you waste no time erecting ladders and scaffolding. You love working outdoors in beautiful Vermont, and you take the weather in stride. Heights don't bother you either, and you're surefooted as you safely work on rooftops. Each day brings an interesting repair, cleaning, or construction task. Whether you're sweeping, relining, or rebuilding a chimney, you follow instructions and give your best effort. At the end of the day, you tidy up the site, clean the service vehicle, and organize materials in the warehouse. The operations manager appreciates how you promptly file daily paperwork. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN APPRENTICE CHIMNEY SWEEP / ENTRY-LEVEL MASONRY WORKER

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including bending, climbing ladders, working in high locations, working outdoors in adverse weather conditions, and lifting up to 100 lbs
