PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION(S):

  • Maintains all income schedules for multiple entities to include clients’ and or student rosters and rates.
  • Reviews attendance/claims/schedules for errors, reconciling claims against internal schedules maintained.
  • Generates income entries based on claims generated using Therap and other external state and federal claim systems.
  • Coordinates with program team for multiple entities to ensure authorizations and services provided are in line and current.
  • Reconciles identified General Ledger accounts for all companies on a monthly or quarterly basis as deemed appropriate.
  • Ensures monthly invoices/claims are generated within designated time frames and submitted according to guidelines.
  • Performs routine claims management; rebills and correct underlying issues.
  • Processes cash deposits; records incoming wire transfers/ACHs.
  • Liaison between Revenue Team and Operations Team, communicating information pertaining to billing, authorizations, units, and other relevant details on a regular basis.
  • Reports to the Revenue Cycle Manager, Operations Team, and Director of IDD any breaches of Agency accounting policies and procedures.
  • Meets deadlines as required for month end and year end processing.
  • Assists with and prepares needed documents for audits.
  • Monitors customer accounts totals for accuracy and collectability.
  • Communicates immediately with Revenue Cycle Manager, Operations Team, and Director of IDD issues regarding billing and receivables.
  • Uses advanced technology for the completion of specified job duties.
  • Attends work regularly according to assigned work schedule and in accordance with Agency policy.
  • Attends and participates in training, staff meetings, and other activities to facilitate professional development.
  • Is a positive role model, working cooperatively with others including all staff, supervisors, administrators, co-workers, individuals served, community professionals, customers, vendors and the public.
  • Follows instructions and abides by Agency policies and procedures.
  • Assumes other duties, responsibilities and special projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.

EXPERIENCE: Five years of accounting experience, medical billing experience preferred. Must have experience with accounting software, Excel spreadsheets, databases and A/R modules. Experience with Therap a plus. Must be bondable as defined by the insurance policy in effect throughout employment. Must have an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency’s insurance carrier and by Agency policy. 

NOTE: Additional related experience and/or education may be substituted in lieu of the requirements specified above under Education and Experience.
