Childrens Dental Health is Hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Near West Grove, PA

We are excited to offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus for this opportunity!

Pay Range: $27.00 - $30.00 /hour based on experience and qualifications.

Children’s Dental Health of West Grove PA, an affiliate with Spark Dental Management, has an immediate opportunity available for an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)!

The pediatric dental restorative team member (EFDA) performs many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills. An EFDA needs a calm disposition and a talent for building rapport with young patients, who may be scared or anxious. Tending to young patients and making them comfortable is of primary importance. You will also be required to work directly with pediatric dentists and anticipate their needs to maintain excellent patient care, help patients feel comfortable, maintain accurate clinical notes for all patients, along with other responsibilities.

This position is a full-time position. The hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:45AM – 5:45PM. Friday and Saturday as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
  • Perform expanded functions, including restorations, extractions, and root canals
  • Take and develop dental X-rays
  • Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
  • Provide excellent customer service and patient care

What You Will Need

  • Current licensure as an EFDA in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Demonstrated desire to work in a pediatric setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Radiology certification
  • CPR certification
