Seeking FT and PT Medical Front Desk Associates: Qualifications include insurance verification, Scheduling, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Multi-tasking, Medical terminology, Flexibility, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Quality Focus, and Professionalism.
Medical Office Receptionist Skills and Qualifications:
  • Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality and maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
  • Experience with insurance verification, scheduling patients, and handling multiple line phones.
  • The candidate must be able to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact, have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills, be culturally sensitive, and demonstrate an ability to work with diverse people groups.
  • Intermediate to advanced phone skills; able to effectively relate via the telephone and in person to serve the needs of Clinic patients/clients/visitors in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Must be flexible and able to accommodate the changing needs of the department.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English; Additional language abilities (a plus)
  • Knowledge of basic math and modern office procedures.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision. Proven flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of tasks.
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends.
  • Basic to intermediate computer knowledge and skills.
  • Basic medical billing.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school or equivalent plus two years of medical receptionist / front desk experience in a comparable health care setting, Pediatrics preferred.
