JOB SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the management of nursing and home health aide functions and the utilization of ancillary agency staff. Supervises and assists, when needed, with client care in accordance with established standards of care. Promotes positive relationships between nursing, home health aide employees, physicians and other agencies. Projects a competent, caring image to the public served. WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a hospital or office environment. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS This is a full-time position working standard and extended hours. Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Required Experience: Two years of pediatric nursing experience. One to two years of home care experience preferred. Bi lingual preferred. Must be able to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, copier, telephone and calculator. Maintain a vehicle to be used for work with the required insurance coverage. Ability to travel, as required. Must be familiar with and adhere to Accreditation Organizations and Medicare Conditions of Participation. Evidence of good health as documented by pre-employment physical. Ability to ambulate, position and transfer clients. Ability to respond to emergency life threatening situations and render appropriate medical treatment including CPR. Familiar with Maryland COMAR regulations for Residential Service Agency. License/Certifications: Must be certified/licensed in the District of Columbia. Current CPR certification. Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
