Overview

This position is responsible for accurate and timely preparation of tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examination by Pathologists.

Professional judgment is exercised to ascertain the validity of procedures and materials.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderately and highly complex Histological procedures in the Laboratory with minimal supervision
• Prepares solutions for various staining procedures, ensuring an adequate inventory of supplies and reagents necessary to perform routine and special procedures
• Performs continuous quality assurance activities
• Assists in maintaining general operations of the section

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree 1-2 years experience training in a qualified program is essential to perform functions of this position
• Certified Histotechnologist
• HTL (ASCP) Required

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. Your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work / Work from Home

This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
