Overview:
This Child and Family Therapist will work in our multidisciplinary Pain Clinic and in the intensive interdisciplinary Rehabilitation for Amplified Pain Syndromes (RAPS) program. In RAPS, this clinician will provide both individual and group-based treatment for patients diagnosed with amplified pain, working closely as part of a team including physical and occupational therapists, yoga, music and art therapy, social work, psychology, and medical providers. In the Pain Clinic, this clinician will provide consultation on health behaviors and mental health treatments for adolescents with amplified pain and their families as part of a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and massage therapists. The ideal candidate will have experience providing therapy for adolescents, and the pain team is able to provide training and supervision in the nuances of working with patients who have chronic pain.

Responsibilities:
  • Child and Family Therapy Service Provision and Documentation: The Child and Family Therapy role will provide evidence based child and family therapy services.
  • Case Management and Collaboration: The Child and Family Therapy role will maintain ongoing communication with referral sources, service providers and care team, as well as, assisting families with accessing community services and transitioning to other treatment providers when needed.
  • Professional Development: This Child and Family Therapy role will demonstrate active involvement and leadership within the team, department, and hospital by regular attendance at meetings and educational opportunities, serving as a consultant for other members of the department and hospital, participation on committees, and responding to hospital and/or community requests for educational programs.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree and 1-2 years experience
  • One of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker MO, Licensed Master's Social Worker MO required upon hire
  • One of the following: Licensed Master's Social Worker KS, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Specialist KS required upon hire
  • LSCSW KS Licensed Clinical Social Worker Specialist KS LCSW MO OR LSCSW KS required at time of hire. Must be fully licensed in one state at time of hire and must obtain licensure in the other state within 90 days. Required Upon Hire
  • LMSW MO Licensed Master's Social Worker MO LCSW MO OR LSCSW KS required at time of hire. Must be fully licensed in one state at time of hire and must obtain licensure in the other state within 90 days required upon hire
Starting Pay:
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $29.66/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home:
This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
