Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children to learn, grow, and have fun. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience in childhood development and education.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including sports, arts and crafts, games, and nature exploration
- Foster positive relationships with campers, providing guidance and support
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Assist with educational activities that promote learning and personal growth
- Collaborate with other counselors to create and maintain a well-organized camp program
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a camp, daycare, tutoring, or classroom setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of different ages and backgrounds
- Ability to manage group dynamics and maintain discipline in a positive manner
- Sports coaching or recreational activity experience is a plus
- Education or coursework in early childhood education is preferred
We offer competitive pay rates for Camp Counselors. This is a temporary position during the summer months.
