CHKD's Children's Pavilion is the center of our comprehensive mental health program offering prevention and day programs, acute inpatient and partial hospitalization, follow-up care, and research. The partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides mental health services for children and adolescents who require coordinated, structured, and interdisciplinary treatment within a consistent environment.

We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and caring RN – Partial Hospitalization Program to support our new program within CHKD. The position is full-time and would require Monday through Friday from 0700 to 1530. It is located in our Children’s Pavilion in downtown Norfolk, VA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates excellence in nursing practice characterized by quality patient care and participation in formal and informal patient and staff education.
• Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care.
• Facilitates group therapy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Licensure, Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of one year mental health experience required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
• Increased Security Clearance Required for Job Roles in Medical Tower II: FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search.
