Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is Hiring a Hospital Provider - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Near King of Prussia, PA

A Brief Overview

The Surgical Advanced Practice Provider team consists of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants that provide 24/7 front line inpatient & consultative support to surgical patients at the King of Prussia Hospital. The Surgical APP will care for patients from the listed surgical specialties - Orthopedics, General Surgery, Otolaryngology (ENT), Plastics, Urology, and Neurosurgery. The Surgical APP will also provide procedural support, such as fracture reductions and laceration repair, in their consultant role for the hospital, including the emergency department. Orientation to this role will take place at the Philadelphia campus as well as King of Prussia Hospital. The role will also include off-shift responsibility. The off shift rotation schedule may include days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays and will be determined by the clinical needs of the practice environment.

Under the supervision of/collaboration with an attending physician, the Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for the direct care of the population of patients that matches his/her scope of practice and skill set. This care is delivered in defined inpatient and procedural areas. The components of the role include clinical practice, consultation, professional development, education, and research.. The appropriate education will be determined by the scope of the role in a particular practice area. The clinical portion of this role will require increased level of accountability including managing a cohort of high acuity patients. In addition to managing patient care, the APP may be required to utilize invasive interventions and procedures to promote physiologic stability.

Responsibilities

Educatio

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree - Physician Assistant
