Summary 
The Admissions Assistant will work in our Statesville, NC office and play a huge role by providing support to programs by assisting with processing incoming referrals and new admissions to assigned Community Based Services.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

Referrals and Scheduling:

• Accurately and timely enter referral and client data into Electronic Health Record and other data tracking systems; update data as needed.
• Verify insurance coverage for new referrals and potential clients.
• Contact clients/guardians to schedule initial appointments within established timeframes. Communicate new client and appointment information to direct care staff.
• Generate new client intake documents for admission. Verify receipt of signed client intake documents and upload to the medical record according to established timeframes.
• Submit documentation for initial authorization of services for assigned programs.
• Work collaboratively with Community Based Services (CBS) Admissions Manager to streamline referral, intake, and admission processes and workflows.

Programmatic Support

• Provide back-up support to CBS Admissions Manager as needed by responding to referrals and inquiries for services, ensuring required referral documents are received, etc.
• Assist with collecting referral data and program outcomes for stakeholders, funding agencies, and internal Quality Improvement purposes in accordance with required timelines.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience with data entry systems
• Prior experience in a behavioral health facility, medical office, or related position preferred
