The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being.
The Regional Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and delivery of case management services in the Home Study and Post Release Services Program (HS/PRS). This includes but is not limited to: tracking cases, ensuring deadlines are met, monitoring team performance and developing a positive rapport with a remote team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Leads and supervises staff providing home study and post release services (HS/PRS).
Provides guidance and support to a team of Case Managers while they are working with clients in the field.
Maintains weekly oversight for all the cases on the teams caseload.
Monitors caseloads, deadlines and compliance issues for the team.
Ensures that services provided are individualized to meet the needs of the families served.
Reviews documentation to ensure that interventions are appropriate and well documented.
Provides assistance in researching and navigating local social services networks on a national scale.
Maintains knowledge and information regarding accessing health services and medication for individuals without medical coverage.
Provides guidance for conducting home visits and addressing complex cases.
Highly competent in identifying and assessing situations involving child abuse, neglect, and/or possible trafficking concerns.
Ability to respond to the aforementioned issues efficiently and professionally.
Identifies partnership opportunities and conducts strategic outreach to local service providers to raise awareness and enhance existing support networks to children and families.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with on call responsibilities

MINIMUM:
Bachelor's Degree in behavioral sciences, human services or social services field
At least 1 year of experience working with children and families
3 years of progressive employment experience
Bi-lingual English/Spanish
Valid NYS Driver License in good condition as determined by the Agency
Must complete and pass a pre-employment physical, PPD and drug screen and an annual physical and PPD.
PREFERRED:
Master's degree in the behavioral sciences, human services or social services fields
Case management experience
Competence with supervisory skills
Experience in conducting Home visits and writing thorough professional reports
Experience working within the Office of Refugee Resettlement
Appropriate licensure or eligibility for licensure
