Children's Home & Aid is Hiring a Site Manager - Early Childhood Education Near Schaumburg, IL

The Site Manager is a critical member of the Marletta Darnall Schaumburg Child & Family Center team, responsible for administering, planning and directing the daily operations of the early childhood education center. Reports to the assigned Director or Vice President.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage all components of the early childhood education program operations and maintains a high quality of services to children and families and the community.
  • Participate in the development and management of center budget that includes program expenses, inventory control, purchasing of supplies and equipment and budget revisions and works closely with the Finance Department to ensure accuracy and timeliness of fiscal reporting.
  • Prepare grant applications, quarterly reports and other essential documents and correspondence as required.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the agency's personnel policies and practices for all program staff, including: hiring, appraisals, leaves, promotions, salary changes, terminations, documentation of all personnel actions and ensuring that all employees are held accountable to quality standards of practice as identified in the Children’s Home & Aid employee handbook.
  • Ensure program is in compliance with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Illinois State Board of Education, and city and state regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Quality & Training Department to develop, implement and maintain an on-going monitoring and evaluation system to ensure quality control of all childcare program services and utilizes evaluation data to maintain, correct and improve delivery of program services.
  • Function as a member of the Metro Early Childhood Services or Regional Management team to ensure the needs of the program are met within the confines of a larger structure.

Who you are:

  • Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Administration, Early Childhood Education, or a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Administration, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years experience managing an Early Childhood program required.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
  • You demonstrate the ability for planning, implementation, and assessing administrative and programmatic systems and activities.
  • You have the ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, the community, governmental entities and funding sources.
  • You have the capability of identifying potential conflicts and proactively produces resolutions, problem-solves, and makes sound decisions utilizing appropriate judgment.
  • You strongly believe that social skills, self-regulation, and emotional development are just as important as reading and math readiness in successfully preparing children for kindergarten.
  • You have a warm, encouraging leadership style and are skilled at engaging with staff and building and supporting high-performing teams.
  • You are attentive to detail, organized, and self-motivated.

The details:

  • Location: Work is conducted at the Marletta Darnall Schaumburg Child & Family Center team (725 East Schaumburg Road)
  • Schedule: Full-time, salaried; center hours are 7:30a-5:30p M-F
  • Staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to submit proof of their vaccination status before their start date unless they have an agency approved medical or religious exemption.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: Range starts at $65,000, offers are commensurate with experience

  • Winter Break: The agency is closed between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. This paid break allows staff to spend time with their families around the holidays without using their accrued time off balances.
  • Student Loan Forgiveness: Children’s Home & Aid is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
