Job Summary- Must be bilingual (Spanish/English)

Responsible for scheduling all surgeries/procedures and providing proper correspondence and documentation to facilitating hospital.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule all appointments requested by physicians for surgery/procedures at local hospitals
• Schedule additional appointments according to procedure (i.e. pre-surgical appointments, admit appointment, anesthesia, etc.)
• Schedule appointments through Sunrise scheduling system
• Process reminder letters for patients and families prior to surgery
• Answer questions from patients and act as a liaison between patient and nurse/physician
• Responsible for sending medical records to local hospital
• Coordinate/process all necessary paperwork with local hospital
• Help cover Surgery Scheduler position when needed
• Taking procedure phone during the weekend/holidays
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements/Experience

Minimum 6 months experience in complex medical scheduling. Must be bilingual (Spanish/English).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Must be computer literate in MS Office software applications (Word, Excel and Outlook). Must have excellent people skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be a quick learner. Must possess excellent organizational, communication, written and interpersonal skills.

Education

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. AA in the medical field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
