Summary:
Under the leadership of the Parking & Transportation Manager, the position is responsible for performing a variety of highly technical, electric, electronic, computer, and mechanical tasks related to the installation, modification, operation, support and maintenance of sophisticated parking access and revenue systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all systems are correctly configured and fully functional, including development and maintenance of necessary interfaces. Apply a high degree of mechanical aptitude and skill to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair these parking equipment and systems.
  • Exercise strong understanding of networks and connectivity to ensure maximum systems availability and thus ensuring strong operational flow.
  • Coordinate the work performed by service contractors, vendors, and other Children’s maintenance staff to include maintenance, calibration, and installation/removal of parking equipment and systems.
  • Provide regular and detailed reporting to management, to include services performed, outages and resolution of same, and recommendations for repairs and replacements. Trending of mean-time-between-failures (MTBF) of equipment and systems should be included in these reports.
  • Perform other maintenance tasks, to include but not limited to, preventative maintenance of parking equipment and systems, respond to customer complaints regarding equipment malfunctions (both internal and external) and other duties appointed by department manager.
  • Work collaboratively with the Parking & Transportation Manager to develop and establish operational policies relating to the maintenance, repair and operation of parking systems and equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain all parking systems and equipment to insure the efficient operations of all parking facilities.
  • Analyze root cause of equipment failures and propose corrective action.
  • Provide round-the-clock parking support for customer, both internal and external, and troubleshoot their parking system and equipment problems and concerns. Completing each repair job in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Develop and communicate regular equipment reporting, including outages, service performed, and resolutions. Manage parking vendor service request, repairs, and contracts. Interface with end-users, parking vendor, department managers and supervisors on routine issues.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance to all parking equipment and systems are operational and performing efficiently. Maintain detailed records of maintenance performed.
  • Plan, organize, and communicate responsibilities and priorities to ensure the successful operation of the parking system.
  • Assist on construction or special projects related to parking and parking equipment.
  • Develop cost reduction initiatives by utilizing materials and resources effectively and maintaining inventory control of equipment, tools, and parts.
  • Assist in providing training and guidance and monitors the work of parking vendor employee for completion according to equipment standards.
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 6a-230p.
You may be required to float occasionally to other Children's Health locations including Dallas, Plano and THD Clinics.
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • At least 5 years related experience in a technical installation or maintenance environment. Req
  • At least 2 years related experience with Designa and guidance system Pref
EDUCATION
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Engineering degree Req
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Electrical Engineering degree Pref
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • State Driver License Upon Hire Req
