The Children's Center of Monmouth County is in need of part-time or full time light duty auto/small bus mechanics/technicians. We are a campus that contains a Special Needs School for children ages 3-21 and an Adult Day Program for individuals over the age of 21 years in Neptune, NJ. A High School Diploma is required.

You would work on small school vans, automobiles, small buses, etc.

* Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, troubleshooting, brake inspections, minor repairs, etc.
* Assist in the diagnoses and repair or replacement of vehicle issues.
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify problems or safety concerns. Assist with bi-annual MVC Inspections.
* Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately troubleshoot vehicle issues.
* Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.
* Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles. * Maintain excellent communication between other mechanics and campus administration.

Other duties as required by Campus Management.

Experience preferred is:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive/van/mini bus mechanic.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing basic mechanical problems in vehicles.
- Experience working with typical mechanical tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with power tools and their proper usage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions if needed.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
