Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Scheduler. As a Medical Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by efficiently scheduling patient appointments and managing the appointment calendar. This is a vital position that requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments using various scheduling systems (Athena)
- Coordinate and manage the appointment calendar to maximize efficiency
- Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary instructions
- Collect and update patient information in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with medical receptionists to ensure seamless patient flow

-Obtain authorization for services in/out of the office (Imaging, Echo, treadmill, etc)
- Assist with managing medical records and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a medical scheduler or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficient in using scheduling systems and software (Athena)
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
