Children’s Cardiology, a subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is comprised of more than 50 pediatric cardiologists providing comprehensive services for patients from before birth to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease. The Transaction Resolution Coordinator provides the proper reconciliation for all related posting transactions including, patient and insurance related payments, adjustments, and denials in an accurately and timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum two years of healthcare data entry experience required.
• Must have healthcare experience including understanding of medical terminology for billing and coding: EOB’s, ICD-10 and CPT Codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in 10-Key with no less than 13,500 KPH (50 WPM).
• Preferred experience with Epic.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-through discipline.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and complete posting, reconciliations and closing of daily payment posting.
• Reconcile all payments with Accounting Receipts.
• Post insurance and guarantor receipts along with associated charge/insurance adjustments accurately.
• Run receipt summary reports to audit entered transactions before closing the day.
• Manage remittance work queues and all other assigned by manager.
• Maintain Clearing Accounts on a regular basis.
• Reconcile Clinic Receipts from previous day.
• Review and research all credit balances.
• Resolve Insurance credits following the most appropriate payer process.
• Follow prescribed procedures to request refunds.
• Prepare appropriate paperwork for insurance refunds and attach to the request.
• Request refunds in Epic for self-pay credits.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
