06/2023-2024 Part Day Teacher Assistant (2 positions):

Location: Missoula, MT Component: Education

Position Title: Part Day Teacher Assistant Schedule: 30 hours a week/44 weeks a year

Supervisor: Education Manager Starting Rate: $14.07 - $16.49/hour

FSLA: Non-Exempt/Union

Summary Job Description:

Assist the teacher in planning, organizing, and implementing a cognitive-developmental program for a
group of 16-19 preschool-aged children. Interact in a developmentally appropriate fashion with the
children. Follow guidance of supervisor while implementing lesson plan. Attend scheduled meetings.
Adhere to confidentiality policy. The ability to observe and document children’s behavior and
development objectively both handwritten and on the computer.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Training

Required: Must have at a least CDA credential, have an Associates or Baccalaureate degree, or be
enrolled in a program leading to an Associate, Baccalaureate degree, or a CDA within 2 years.

Prefer: Experience working with young children in a Head Start or preschool setting. Training in child
development, classroom management, child abuse prevention, positive guidance, social work,
communication, organization.
