SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Develops and implements service plans with measurable objectives (based on clinical assessments). Provides individual, conjoint, family and group therapy according to treatment needs, and outreach (with home visits as the standard means of service delivery). Provides family life education and advocacy as needed. Appropriately and selectively utilizes a broad variety of diagnostic and treatment skills and techniques. May provide transportation for families on occasion. Performs required administrative tasks related to caseload, such as correspondence, reports, dictation and maintaining of case records. Allocates a minimum of 60% of available time to direct services. Uses regular supervision to improve performance and assure excellence in service delivery. Represents the program in community organizations.
Coordinates and collaborates with public and private agencies to ensure non-duplication of services. Facilitates and records interdisciplinary team meetings. Provides case management and service coordination in conjunction with referring CPS social worker. Performs administrative tasks related to agency-wide data, such as daily and monthly activity reports, in a timely fashion. Maintains participant confidentiality at all times. Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
(Specify): Master's degree in Social Work or related Human Service field from an accredited school. A minimum of one year or 1000 hours of treatment with violent offenders, substance abusers, spouse or child abusers or similar populations. Experience in areas of family violence, victimology and working with family related child abuse/neglect preferred. Good verbal and written skills, including therapeutic assessment and treatment, interviewing, recording and letter writing. Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. Valid driver's license, clean driver's abstract, current no-fault insurance coverage and access to an insured vehicle.
EXPERIENCE: Over one year, up to and including two years.
