Overview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Substitute Teachers. As a Substitute Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with students of various ages. This is a flexible position that allows you to gain valuable experience while accommodating your schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Implement classroom management strategies to ensure student engagement and behavior management
- Provide instruction and support to students
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students
- Foster a love for learning and encourage student participation
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to support student success
Skills:
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Experience working with children or students in a childcare or educational setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment
- Experience working with students with autism or other special needs is a plus
- Passion for educating and making a difference in the lives of students
- Strong literacy education skills
