Child Care Associates is Hiring a Director of Design and Implementation Near Fort Worth, TX

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in early childhood education, adult education or related field;
  • Five (5) years of administrative/supervisory experience in early education;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience;
  • Proven work experience within an early learning setting as well as experience in supporting, guiding and aligning programs to meet child care regulations, federal requirements and high-quality Texas Rising Star criteria;
  • Ability to work with diverse teams across the agency to coordinate and implement strategies, processes and timelines for implementation of model;
  • Experience in creating and supporting the implementation of operational policies and procedures that incorporate Head Start, Early Head Start, PreK programming and child care;
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, Child Plus and Child Care Regulations as well as Child Care Associates branding;
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously;
  • Access to reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license;
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment and/or periodic physical examination, TB skin test, and background check every 24 months, and
  • Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency as well as the ability to utilize data and technology as an effective management and communication tool;

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Director of Child Services and collaborates with the Child Services Leadership Team and agency Senior Leadership.

Co-Design and Build a CCA Center-Based Child Services Model

  • Architect alongside agency and program leadership a model of early education and care for children 0-5;
  • Collaborate and tap into expertise, data and perspectives across the agency and perspectives to help develop and document a model of early education and care that the agency can grow and nurture;
  • Design a model that balances the need for high quality early education with the needed hours of care for working families, the training and development hours for staff, and the resources needed to operate the model in the black;
  • Incorporate and balance requirements of the Head Start Act, Head Start performance standards, Texas Child Care Regulations as well as best practices in early education;
  • Identify and help build the support tools, policies, and procedures need to build a unified child services model to meet the needs of PreK, child care and Head Start;
  • Partner with any marketing and/or communication leads or contractors to ensure branding and communication aligns with our child services model;
  • Support communications and marketing efforts towards success in recruiting and enrolling families for services;
  • Partner with the Head Start Director to align center-based and home-based Early Head Start service models towards an integrated child services approach, and
  • Remain up-to-date on early education best practices, management practices, and emerging educational research to guide our work and practices.

    Review & Develop Needed Implementation Systems & Supports

  • Guide the review, re-development, and/or set-up of operational and technical systems needed to implement child services;
  • Utilize best practices and principles of change management in helping set priorities and pace for changes
  • Stage and timeline implementation priorities based on an assessment of risk, review of data, and agency priorities;
  • Conduct a data scan with the leadership and data team to understand the current data systems utilized by child services;
  • Develop data plans for adjusting data fields, aligning data definitions, updating user guides, and updating reports needed by child services teams;
  • Partner with IT to help identify current and future technology needs of campuses;
  • Invest time on campuses and in classrooms to personally understand how systems are operating and to secure feedback on areas for continuous improvement;
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement in our work;
  • Use research and experience to introduce new concepts or improvements to present to campus leaders, teachers, child services team leaders and agency leadership for input and consideration, and
  • Utilize existing agency data and survey data to understand the feedback of our clients, our community, our campus leadership and our employees.

    Ensure Staff are Equipped to Understand and Operate the Model

  • Partner across the agency to ensure early educators, campus directors, family engagement advocates, and program staff are equipped to operate the model;
  • Remain knowledgeable of the agency’s public or private funding requirements to ensure staff are equipped to meet agency obligations;
  • Utilize best practices in adult learning theory to ensure the child service team has the training, coaching and support needed to operate the child services model and support children and families;
  • Partner with Human Resources as the agency utilizes a Learning Management System (LMS) to better guide individual and team learning and development;
  • Partner with Human Resources and program leadership to develop a staffing and shift model that supports the program design;
  • Partner with Professional Development, coaching, and HR to ensure staff have needed PD, training and coaching hours to meet required and planned professional development plans, and
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
