Child and Family Focus, Inc. is Hiring an Outpatient Billing Coordinator Near Hatboro, PA

Position Summary:Working under the Program Director, this position aids in the coordination of services and daily operations for the Outpatient office. This position is a part of the administrative team and provides support to the Psychiatrist, CRNPs, Therapists, program staff and clients. The primary role of this position is to coordinate the billing process, by reviewing invoices and ensuring correct claims are sent to be billed.Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human service or related field
  • One or more years of experience in a health care, mental health, or social services environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience navigating an Electronic Health Records System
  • Experience with Managed Care Organizations/Insurances
Program Specific Responsibilities:As an administrative staff member this staff will support/assist the psychiatrist and CRNPs and management of medical staff’s schedules.
  • Greet, assist, and direct all patients and visitors:
  • Collect patient responsibilities including copayments, deductibles, new insurance information, and any additional balances owed.
  • Respond to incoming reception desk telephone calls as needed, including the scheduling of appointments, new referrals, and case management request.
  • Provide administrative support to the department by aiding in verification of eligibility, clerical work, and ensuring a clean workspace, when needed.
  • Manage incoming mail for the program and prepare outgoing mail for psychiatric providers.
  • Responsible for tracking on-site medications
  • Ensure client charts via EMR comply with program regulations and agency standards, including daily session verifications and consents for treatment.
  • Assist with audit prep, chart audits and client discharges as needed.\
  • Review and track clinic and school based invoices, progress notes and encounters for correctness weekly
  • Ensure accuracy of all incoming billing paperwork through the reconciliation process
  • Ensure uploading of corrected encounters into electronic chart
  • Assist with addressing failed claims in carelogic
  • Manage billing spreadsheet to track all billable sessions
  • Front desk coverage/support
  • Respond to billing and insurance questions and communicate with families or insurance companies when needed
  • Maintain and rectify insurance rejections spreadsheet, check accuracy of rejections and follow up with families
  • Complete insurance checks
  • Manage invoice and copay reports weekly
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
  • Work in standard office environment.
  • Ability to work 12pm-8pm two days per week
