Child and Family Focus, Inc. is Hiring a Behavioral Health Technician/Administrative Program Assistant Near Willow, PA

Now through June 2024, CFF is offering a $500 sign on bonus*; $250 paid on first check and $250 on the paycheck following 6 months.*Bonus amounts could be prorated based on number of hours workedChild and Family Focus is looking for a full-time, qualified, and passionate Behavior Health Technician (BHT) and Administrative Program Assistant (APA) to join our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) team. IBHS provides interventions and supports for children, youth, or young adults under the age of 21 with mental health, emotional, or behavioral needs.Job Responsibilities: 

  • Provide 1-to-1 support to the child, parent, and/or caregiver to address the therapeutic needs of the child, youth, or young adult using behavioral interventions and strategies as instructed by a Behavioral Consultant (BC) in the home, school, and community settings. 
  • Support problem-solving and skill development of the child, youth, or young adult. 
  • Instruct children on how to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control feelings and emotional responses to situations. 
  • Support the development of improved decision-making skills to manage behavior. 
  • Assist with the development of social skills and socially acceptable behaviors. 
  • Instruct on stress reduction techniques. 
  • Collect behavioral data. 
  • Fulfill client prescriptions as outlined within the monthly prescription.
  • Overlap with the BC at least 2 times/month and consult with the BC weekly.
  • Submit necessary proof of service delivery and billing documentation within the required timeframe.
  • Document case activity using an EMR system within the required timeframe.
  • Complete administrative duties as assigned to include: monitoring insurance eligibility for current and new clients, maintaining active consents and releases, administrative chart audits, answering/responding to calls from families, creating and organizing client charts and EMR records, conduct service verification and distribute client satisfaction surveys.
  • Participate in bi-weekly supervision and weekly administrative planning meetings.
  • Use and implement the 5 core values of Trauma-Informed Care in all work practices - Safety, Trustworthiness, Choice, Collaboration, & Empowerment.
  • Split position: 16-24 hours/week of direct care BHT work and 16-24 hours/week administrative support not to exceed a total of 40 hours/week.
  • Evening and weekend availability may be required.
Qualifying Criteria for Behavior Health Technician/APA:
  • Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma (Bachelors Degree preferred).
  • Complete a free, online, 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List, 2nd edition (found at this link: https://autismpartnershipfoundation.org/courses/rbt/) prior to first day.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Current Child Abuse, Criminal Record Check, and Department of Human Services clearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have 2 or more years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
  • Have a certification as a BCaBA.
  • Have a certification as an RBT.
  • Have a certification as a BCAT.
  • Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
