We are seeking TWO experienced digital cutting table operators (Kongsberg): ONE for FIRST shift (8:00 pm to 4:30 pm) and ONE for SECOND shift (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm) in our Large Format Digital department. When applying, please indicate desired shift.

The operator will be responsible for the day to day production of cutting and maintenance of the cutting tables; including:

• Operates Kongsberg sample table
• Read and understand job tickets and apply the information to ensure material is produced according to specifications
• Perform quality checks according to established procedures to ensure high quality of production
• Prepares samples for packaging products
• Maintains clean work areas
• Monitor machine efficiency and speed to ensure production levels meet or exceed standards and to make appropriate adjustments accordingly.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures and accountable for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical Degree in Graphic Arts, A PLUS

• 2 years sign shop experience or press operation

• Strong computer skills and experience handling print ready files

• Working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Photoshop, illustrator, and InDesign

• Strong knowledge of pre-press and post-production processes and digital equipment capabilities and substrates

• Proficient in reading, speaking, writing and understanding the English Language

• Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance

• Ability to distinguish colors and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.

• Ability to follow written and verbal directions

• Good mechanical aptitude required

• Ability to work overtime as needed

• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail and quality

• Tenacious and creative problem solving skills

• Relationship Management Skills to liaise with design team

• Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects.
