We are seeking a vibrant, passionate, and detail-oriented Sales Manager to join our team. This dynamic role requires extensive fieldwork to ensure the effective application of our selling strategy, aiming to achieve the desired sales pace and gross revenue. The Sales Manager will uphold high accountability standards for the sales team, driving performance and engagement across our Prescott and West Valley markets.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Field Leadership: Maintain a regular presence in both Prescott and West Valley markets, providing hands-on leadership, support, and accountability to the sales team.
  • Strategy Implementation: Ensure the sales strategy is applied effectively in the field, aiming to achieve the desired sales pace and revenue targets.
  • Team Performance: Hold the sales team accountable for their activities and performance, fostering a culture of high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide ongoing mentorship and training to the sales team, enhancing their skills and capabilities.
  • Challenge Management: Proactively handle challenges as they arise, ensuring swift and effective resolution to maintain sales momentum.
  • Goal Review and Updates: Regularly review and provide updates on progress towards business goals, ensuring alignment with company objectives to achieve sales monthly and annual quotas.
  • Lead-to-Sale Conversion: Drive improvements in lead-to-sale conversion rates through effective coaching and strategy adjustments.
  • Accountability: Maintain a high level of accountability with the sales team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Onsite coaching with Sales Agents utilizing the “Designing Opportunities” sales methodology. A significant amount of this position’s time will be spent in the field with Sales Agents advancing sales, enhancing product knowledge, and reinforcing the Woodside Way. (Role-playing for improvement and demonstrating proficiency)
  • Ensure that communities are tracking to meet and/ or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, as established in the annual business plan. Review goals with on-site Sales Agents to assist in moving sales prospects down the sales funnel. Report out sales strategies utilized to meet and exceed the business plan.
  • Review HubSpot reports with on-site Sales Agents with a focus on converting Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) to sales. Review and improve on-site Sales Agent usage and proficiency in HubSpot.
  • Shop competition, product, and talent. Oversee and train on comparative market analysis (CMA) for each community.
  • Responsible for onboarding of new Sales Agents.
  • Coach Sales Agents to improve the customer experience as measured through customer feedback via Medallia.
  • Drive consistency and training with the Woodside Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and contract management system.
  • Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing and Marketing Manager with overseeing new community openings, new phase releases, and community closings.
  • Assist in setting pricing and lot premiums for all communities to maintain margin requirements and maximize profitability.
  • Drive creation and adherence to company procedures and policies.

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Real estate license.
  • Broker’s license preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant homebuilding sales experience.
  • Experience in onsite sales.
  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role within the homebuilding industry.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle challenges and provide effective solutions promptly.
  • Proficiency in sales strategy implementation and performance analysis.
  • Deep understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
