Chicken N Pickle Server Job Description

Chicken N Pickle is a fun and unique environment to explore food, beer and pickleball. We seek servers interested in our guests and enhancing the quality of our guest service, by suggesting, ordering and serving food and beverages. We work as a team to develop meaningful relationships with our guests by providing a memorable experience.

Responsibilities of a server!

● Embody Chicken N Pickle’s core values: Authenticity, Community, Connection, Integrity and Quality

● Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion

● Prepare tables with special attention to sanitation and order

● Greet guests, explain our service model and answer questions about the menu and make recommendations for food, drink and activities

● Help guests select food, beer and cocktails

● Take orders electronically or manually, start tabs and accept payment

● Work as a drink runner, dressing and delivering server drinks

● Work with the team to deliver food and drink in an efficient manner

● Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude

● Understands and complies with health/sanitation and alcohol standards

● Communicates all concerns to management including issues with safety, sanitation, staff, inventory and guests.

● Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays

● Other duties may be assigned, in assistance of teammates

Job Qualifications of a server!

● High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

●Previous experience as a server, preferred

● Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and role checklists

● Excellent money handling skills

● Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

● Problem solving and decision making skills.

● Demonstrate observational skill and patience.

● Collaborative and team awareness.

● Excellent people skills and positive attitude.

● Applicable Food Handler and Liquor Certification required 30 days upon hiring.
