OverviewCHI Health St. Mary’s has served Nebraska City and the surrounding areas since 1927. In the fall of 2014 St. Mary’s opened the doors of a brand-new fully modernized facility. The new 110000-square-foot campus is better equipped to meet the changing needs of our community with among other benefits an increased capacity for specialty clinics and an integrated primary care clinic. St. Mary’s encourages collaboration and care coordination among primary care physicians and medical specialists. This contributes to the high quality of care our patients have come to expect.
Provides medical assessements, treatments and transportation to all age groups, in and out fo the hospital settings through approved protocols or under the direction and/or supervision of physicians or registered nurses in support of the nuring vision
Responsibilities
  • Assesses, treats and provides transportation to patients according to established State of Nebraska Emergency Medical Services rules and regulations, State of Nebraska Model Protocols, and hospital policies and procedures, independently, collaboratively or under the supervision of paramedics, physicians, physician assistants, or registered nurses and according to the scopes of practice allowed by the State of Nebraska and Good Samaritan Hospital.
  • Provides, assists with or participates in education for team members and community.
  • Performs and ensures safe, knowledgeable age-specific patient care in a holistic manner.
  • Performs value-added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
QualificationsGraduate of a Nebraska approved EMS training program
  • Must hold Nebraska license as an Emergency Medical Technician
  • Employees hired after January 01, 2013 must have and maintain National Registry Certification
  • Current BLS card
  • Must have a current driver’s license with an excellent driving history and be able to operate an ambulance in emergency situations
Pay Range$16.26 - $22.97/hour
