Responsibilities

• Records patient’s rhythm every 2 hours on appropriate form.
• Documents ectopy and / or other transient rhythms.
• Obtains representative rhythm strip every 8 hours, analyzes and mounts for patient record.
• Records rhythm strip to document significant changes in rate and / or rhythm.
• Delivers representative rhythm strips and copy of unit telemetry log to assigned unit
• Documents pulse oximetry readings every 8 hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent
• Successful completion of Dysrthythmia competency.
