As one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the world we provide a full range of services including: maternity cancer and surgery care as well as diagnostics and emergency services.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients undergoing, non-chemo & chemo infusions and injections, insertion of mid-lines and peripherally inserted central catheters. Applies knowledge of current treatment modalities to patient care. Administers infusions/injections, testing and line insertions according to institutional policy, standards, and guidelines. Answers phones, schedules patients, maintains patient experience, and upholds core values and mission. Provides patients and families with emotional support, information and guidance during treatment. Educate patients and families in areas of health and illness that maintain optimum levels of physical and emotional functioning.

What You'll Do

  1. Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, collaborate with other specialists as required and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  2. Perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes adult and geriatric patients and the general patient population.
  3. Assess and reassess pain and pain management techniques utilized. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management
  4. Maintain medical equipment which includes cleaning/disinfecting equipment, stretcher, etc. after use.
Qualifications

Graduate of an RN nursing program.Current RN license in state of practiceCurrent BLS CertificationChemo Certification within 6 months from ONS
