Salary/Pay Range: $63,000 - $67,500 per year

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Navy Expeditionary Logistics Instructor provides instructional support to the Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG), an Echelon IV command in the United States Navy reporting to the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC). Instructors teach a variety of skills, including warehouse and freight terminal management, expeditionary fuel distribution, expeditionary ordnance handling, tent camp, maintenance and personnel support functions, distribution to traditional shipboard cargo handling and expeditionary airhead operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Execute training according to an established period of instruction, to include high-risk training (HRT), in the course of training NAVELSG forces in Maritime cargo operations and critical time-intensive command and control (C2) administrative functions. The Contractor will occasionally travel to off-site training ranges, training facilities, conferences and meetings, and other places as required in support of NECC training requirements to include OCONUS.

Types of Instructors Required (Must be able to perform one type): Expeditionary Fuels, Expeditionary Reload Academy, Air Cargo, Surface Cargo, Expeditionary Support/Tent Camp, Command and Control Logistics Planning.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED:

• High personal standards of technical knowledge and professional competence in delivering training material.
• Three years of experience within the last seven years teaching or performing the skills you will teach.
• Familiarity with the organization and hierarchy of the U.S. Navy, military rank/grade structure.
• Knowledge of Navy and military terminology and shipboard/installation environments and configurations.
• Knowledge of basic and advanced training techniques.
• Knowledge of computer technology applications as they apply to instructional delivery.
• Have attended the Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) (A-012-0077) or military service equivalent, OR have academic credentialing (teacher/professor), OR training as an instructor via an academic institution.
• Preferred: Three years experience with HRT within DoD.
• Secret security clearance.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• The NECC courses of instruction require instructors who possess the fitness and conditioning to support the level of instruction. Instructors must be personally capable of performing all training evolutions.
• May be required to use computer screen for extensive periods of time.
• Extended working hours and travel may be necessary.
