We are expanding!

Optician Technician needed for our private eye care practice in Chevy Chase, MD

Fully trained in all aspects of total patient eye care. This would include greeting the patient, preparing the patient, verifying insurance benefits, all ancillary testing, computer and EHR entry and all aspects of contact lens care and fully knowledgable to help in our frame gallery

What you will do:

Work closely with the doctors in helping prepare the patients according to company standards utilizing computerized equipment, OCT, VF, and Cameras, as well as aid in completing electronic health records and other computer ancillary programs.

Verifying and filing both medical as well as vision insurance plans

Measuring, fitting and helping patients to ensure proper frame selection and measurements, PD’s, OC’s and Seg heights

Frame repair and adjustment as well as ability to operate a lensometer

Ability to discuss contact lens needs and perform proper contact lens training

Offer skills needed for strong communication with the ability to explain technical information clearly

Commissions and profit sharing will be rewarded for excellent job performance

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
