Utility Construction Worker – Job Description

Reports To: The Utility Construction Worker will report to the supervisor of the Utility Construction Team.

Job Overview: The Utility Construction Worker will be responsible for being a part of the sewer and water/utility construction division of Chesapeake Plumbing & Heating, Inc. The right individual thrives in a very fast paced environment, works well under pressure, and delivers with a "no excuses, make it happen" attitude. You must possess strong judgement skills, can manage challenging situations, handle administrative tasks, excel with technology, and possess solid written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate effectively balances multiple priorities and works well independently.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with operating heavy equipment (preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in sewer & water installation (preferred)
  • CDL License a bonus
  • Equipment operating experience preferred
  • Flexible schedule
  • Ability to work on Saturdays - when necessary
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to be proactive
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
