Summary/Objective

Primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and stocking of the pool area for our guests. You will ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are always demonstrated.

Essential Functions

• Exhibit hospitable and friendly attitude.

• Knowledgeable about campus & happenings.

• Able to answer guest questions and /or know where to direct questions.

• Ensure all guests are not consuming outside food and beverage in the pool area. Report to management if situation escalates.

• Ensure the pool and pool area are neat and clean to open.

• Be aware of weather forecast and confirm issues with management.

• Be knowledgeable of pool rules, hours, and emergency procedures.

• Stock pool towels and prepare backup rolled towels.

• Complete the pool attendant checklist for the pool area.

• Check bathroom conditions. Complete checklist for bathroom.

• Ensure guests have wristbands.

• Check trash cans and dump them in compactor.

• Take soiled pool towels to cottage shed.

• Continuously monitor cleanliness of area and stock of towels.

• Follow closing procedures for the pool area and complete checklist.

• Be sure the area is neat and clean for the next day.

• Close pool covers and lock gates before leaving.

• Place the completed checklist in the manager’s mailbox.

• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the management.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.

Position Type/Work Schedule Expectation

This is a variable hour position to include days, nights, weekends and holidays. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
