Position Details

• Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate (BA or BS certification)
• Successful teaching experience, student teaching, or professional classroom experience

Job Duties :

• Knowledge and understanding of curriculum design and instructional strategies
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of assessment procedures and learning and motivation theory
• Hold high expectations for student achievement
• Understanding of implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)
• Demonstrates the ability to collaborate with teaching staff and with other stakeholders by communicating both verbally and written
• Willingness to participate in professional development
• Ability to work with at-risk and special education students
• Plan, organize, and provide instruction to students individually, in small groups, and in whole group settings
• Evaluate student progress and prepare reports that detail progress
• Maintain appropriate records and lesson plans
• Willingness to serve as a coach / advisor or work with the school improvement team
• Possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, self-motivated, team-oriented and willing to work with students, parents, staff and community members
• Other duties as assigned by the building principal or Superintendent of schools.

Salary : In accordance with the Master Agreement.
