Cherrybrook Health Care is Hiring a RN Supervisor Near Collinsville, CT
Cherrybrook is currently hiring for a 7-3p every other weekend supervisor as well as per diem supervisors on all shifts.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your leadership skills and clinical expertise will contribute to the success of our healthcare facility.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures
- Monitor patient care activities to ensure compliance with standards of care and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of nursing staff and provide feedback for improvement
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new nursing staff members
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff, providing guidance on complex patient cases or challenging situations
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of patient information
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for both patients and staff
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in CT
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols
- Experience administering injections and performing specimen collection processing
- Proficient in basic life support techniques
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team of healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (Cerner preferred)
- Knowledge of occupational health practices is a plus
